Can a workplace cut the hours on your paycheck without letting you know?

I just received my paycheck that was supposed to have 44.25 hours, only to find out that it has only 29.25 hours on it. Is it legal for a company to cut hours that are supposed to be on your check without letting you know?

No they must pay you for the hours worked. That doesn't mean they have broken the law though. It could be something as simple as a clerical error. |
