Scope of Medical transcription in Canada is excellent, no doubt about it. In Canada, lot of clinical work is there rather than hospital where as in USA quite opposite. Writing CMT is not compulsory, but if you have certificate it is an added advantage. In MT industry, no qualification and no certificate required as per my knowledge. If your English is good, understanding to the dictation well, then you can work. In medical coding and billing sector, companies are asking for certificate.
