What school would u recommend if im just starting out? I live in jacksonville fl?

It's actually called a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer rather than u/s tech. And either is fine, so long as it's an accredited DMS program. Most programs are 2 year Associate's degrees, and certificates are usually only open to those who already have a degree in something like Rad Tech. Just check here for accredited programs by state: http://www.caahep.org/Find-An-Accredited¦

Stay away from trade schools that have shortened programs but charge ridiculous amounts of money. They typically do not have good reputations in the ultrasound community.

Good luck :)
