What would be a good career?

What would be a good career path for me? I definitely want to pursue something in the medical field because i absolutely LOVE biology and anatomy. Ive always wanted to be an anesthesiologist or a nurse anesthetist, but lately ive been hearing that the medical field will suffer from the recent health care bill passing. I heard that in about 20 years the salary of doctors will be the same as that of teachers. Im not sure if this is true, but i would really like a career that pays well..very well. If i do not pursue anesthesiology, then what do you think would be some interesting medical careers?

Im not really into dentistry or anything like that. I would love something thats is very interesting and different everyday. And dont forget something that pays WELL!!! (and i know its not about the money, but i would like to support myself instead of depending on someone else)

If you know of any majors/careers for me then please help!

Also popular medical colleges in GA, FL, SC, or AL??

THANKSSS!!!

Why not go for what you want?

if you listen to rumors and such, well the world is suppose to end in 2012.

I Really think that a specialty field such as anesthesiologist is diff. from a general Doc.

as in family practice and such.

I really doubt that surgeons and the anesthesiologists will suffer any or very little pay cuts.

Also consider getting the education and training for an alternate career - at the same time so your prepared for two careers.

as for interesting X-ray tech. now that has to be interesting.

I will end on this note - 20% of americans are Rich

because the other 80% do the work for them that makes them Rich

by BF was an ASE cert. automotive Tech. some of the shops he worked for only paid 10.00, another one 14.00

and the last one 24.00

all of those shops Charged the customers 75.00 (and as high as 90.00) and hour for his Labor.

who's getting Rich him or the shops - he felt like a hooker being pimped

that's not counting the shop charging customers double Their cost of the parts.

their cost of the parts were about 20% less than what the customer would pay but after doubling it well you get the Idea.

If money is important to you DO NOT become a physician. We just got a 21% pay cut for Medicare, with our expenses going up all the time.

We also really don't want people who are only in it for the money. Try law. Lawyers will do ANYTHING for money.

Btw, teachers support themselves just fine. They get great benefits (physicians pay for their own), pension plans (physicians pay for their own, or just save) and are unionized (illegal for physicians) so they can protect their interests.
