What are simular jobs to an registered nurse that are easier to get into?

I am trying to get into a registered nursing program in california but i dont think i will have the gpa. so i was wondering what other programs can i get while waiting to get into the rn program.
if i could please have a salary that is around 15,000 a year or more.
i need a program that wont take two or more years.
please anything anyone has is much appreciated. i need to start my life!!!

Since your salary requirement is so low, you could start at the bottom of the food chain as a CNA. Programs usually take a few weeks and then you take the licensure exam. CNAs make around $11 an hour depending on location. |

You must not be from Calif. bc it is very difficult to live on $15K/year (which is by definition the poverty line). You can work as a receptionist w/o a college degree. In CA, the starting pay is in the 30s. Many entry level jobs (Starbucks, waiter/tress) will pay a little better than minimum wage. |
