What's the deal with CNA jobs, I thought being a CNA was recession proof?
I've been in an on-call CNA position for 6 months. This is all I can find. I am even certified to give medications in my state. Any other CNAs having a hard time finding a job? It used to be employers were begging for CNA's. I'm in Colorado.

In a down turn as deep as this one there is no such thing as a 'recession proof' job. |

I know rite. Now they are asking for LPN's. I guess because they have a little more experience and the LPN can do the CNA work also. |

They are probably taking in foreign CNA's. I thought everyone was a CNA though, except me. But be confident. Keep looking. CNA jobs are in huge demand. You could be a school nurse, prison nurse, hospital nurse or doctors aide. Be creative. |

You are most likely having trouble getting a permanent position because employers want experience. Keep working on-call and eventually something will open up. |
