Should I apply for another position in a company while being considered for another?

I am currently in the hiring process for a company and have completed my initial interview. While I was rereading the job details, I saw another position that I feel I am better qualified for. The hiring process is one where you interview with a recruiter and then a hiring manager. Should I apply for the second position or email/call and let the recruiter know I'm interested in a different position,

or will that seem like I am not dedicated. Maybe they would think I'm more suited for that other position as well? This is not the first position I have applied for with this company but it's the first one I interviewed for.

I would mention it now to the recruiter. Here's why.

You just interviewed for a job. You may get that job, you may not. What if you don't? Then you wasted time in not going after this other position that interests you. If they offer you the first one, great you can either take it or try to apply for the other one also.
