What is optimal job to start work as a nurse, why, there is any reason. where to fine the research reports

There is no "optimal" age to start a nursing job....the optimal "time" is after you have earned your degree and gotten your nursing license...whether you are 22 or 52!

As far as a job....some would say a Medical/Surgical floor, but I don't buy that......you don't hear people telling an OB/GYN she/he needs to be a General Practice doctor for a year or two before they go into OB so "they'll be a better doctor or well-rounded", so I don't think it needs to be done in nursing, either.

I say if you know what area you want to work in- start there. I began in OB over 15 years ago and have never worked in any other specialty, nor do I want to.

As far as research reports for any area of nursing....try the various nursing journals; whether in Australia, the UK, the US, or Canada. Most journals are available online, if not, your university or local hospital medical library should have them.
