Depends on your dedication. I would simply do what pleases me.

The medical world holds a wealth of different professions from the obvious nurse and doctor professions to adminstrative professions. My sister wanted to work in this vocation, but she wasn't sure perfectly what she wanted to do. She stumbled upon the resource in the resource box below, it has lots of tips and tricks, and it helped her to decide what she wanted to do. They have help with other jobs too.

Medical office assistant: patient care in a doctor's office, great hours, and great holidays, poor wages.

Medical lab assistant: doesn't exist. You either do lab work processing or you don't. Contact with often contaminated body fluids, regular hours that repeat every 2 weeks, shift work that starts early every day, licensed occupation. Make the most money of the 3 and can work in many facilities.

Receptionist in a lab: doesn't exist. Lab techs answer the phones and do the paperwork. You must "speak this language" to work in this environment.
