I need to find out what I want my profession to be . I know I want to work in the medical field and preferably work with babies and little children . Please give me some suggestions.

P.S. I would rather not have a job that deals with blood and surgery. Thank you !

There are a few jobs that would involve working with either little children, or babies that involve little or no blood or surgery:

1) Pediatrician -- you work with infant, children, and teens below 18 years with various health care conditions that are common with these ages groups. They often will do boosters (infant and children), educate patients on STDS (youth health), and will refer onto specialists when required for various conditions.

2) Baby Health Educators -- these are often RN's that show new mothers how to care for their babies. These may include breastfeeding, changing diapers, washing the baby, how to hold the baby, and other things that may come up that might help the mother deal with her newborn.

3) Lamaze Trainers -- this is not so much with children or babies, but it is prior to the birth, and shows mothers how to breathe adequately, and how to deal with labor.

4) Well Baby/Baby Clinics -- weighs the babies, and also helps supports the mothers after the baby health educators have finished their duties in the hospital.

5) Daycare or Nurseries -- this you're often caring for little ones when the parents are unable to look after their children due to work etc. Please note that there are some within hospitals.

Hm well you've sort of narrowed your options a bit. You could be a pediatrician, or a nurse practitioner in the NICU. My cousin does that and she loves it.
