Job openings in the medical field?

Ever since I was a kid, I've wanted to be a doctor. I'm a sophomore in highschool and I don't take this career goal lightly, but I'm starting to wonder how practical an option it might be for me. Grades aren't the problem (I was highest in my class last year) but I'm wondering if money will be. Should I pursue a career as a physician's assistant instead? I really want to be able to have relationships with my patients, not just treat-and-go. Would this job provide a more "social" job for me, as well as being more affordable as far as college bills go?

You could be a PA if you want. I don't know why you don't just become an MD. I'm an MD student and the PA students at my school take almost all the same classes I do (just crammed into 2 years instead of 4). In the end, they will end up making a lot less money than me to do the same job.

The medical world holds a variety of different careers from the obvious nurse and doctor careers to adminstrative careers. My sister wanted to work in this field, but she wasn't certain exactly what she wanted to do. She discovered the website in the resource box below, it has lots of instruction, and it helped her to decide what she wanted to do. They have help with other jobs too.
