So when I turn 18 Im going to nursing school thru our local hospital to become a RN nurse. Am homeschooled and I know I have to take my ACTs thru our local collage witch Im going to do this year and get a 21 on them at least in till I do lol. I also have to have a high school GPA minimum of 3.00 and the lady I talked to said you get a B average witch I dont understand when your homeschooled and then she also said that most highschoolers has to get a GED. So my questions for you registered nurses - When she said a B average what does that mean? And how do I figure that out? When she said most homeschoolers has to get a GED does that mean with a high school diploma or without one? Can I just go get a GED and be done? Or just have a high school diploma, 21 on my acts and a b average and still get in the nursing school? Thank you so much for your help! :)

Ok first it isn't witch it's WHICH. Spelling is important if you are going to write in patient's charts.

You need to ask the "lady" specifically what grade is a B average. Usually it is an 85 or higher final grade in classes but depends on the school.

A GED is a test you take at a high school or testing center to get a certificate saying you know enough to be done with high school. However homeschoolers usually can get a real high school diploma through the state or high school in your town. You need to speak with someone in charge of giving your parents the homeschooling paperwork about getting a diploma.

A 3.0 is a B average. You'll probably need the GED to prove your level. Good luck.
