I just became a certified pharmacy technician: how much should I make now?

I just passed the PTCE, and I work 27 hours a week at Winn Dixie in Orange Park, FL. In about a week, I am going to go to the store manager and ask for a raise. How much should I be making an hour? Please, fellow technicians - help give me a ballpark figure? :) I make about nine dollars now.

I would ask for $10.50/hr., but be fully prepared to take $10 . . . or not get a raise at all. |

Unfortuneately being certified doesn't guarantee a pay raise. I became a Certified Medical Assistant and made the same amount as just a Medical Assistant. Hope you get the pay raise and congrats on your certification. |

I have been in the Army for 19 years and just got out of recruiting. See what your army recruiter can do for you. You can go to school and get a regular pay check as well. |
