I FEEL SO INSECURE AT WORK :(((?

Hi all. I graduated in July 2009 in Biomedical Science, first class degree. I started working in November 2009.Two weeks ago I started working for another hospital. I had to learn many new things.I put all my effort in it, I skipped my lunch and tea breaks and I tried to be perfect.however, my colleagues started to pick up on my saying first I was too slow and then picking up every mistake I was making and telling the manager. I started to feel unsecure and unconfortable..now the manager assign me to the reception, doing the job of an assistant, not of a biomedical scientist...I feel all this has happened because I am rubbish..I feel horrible, insecure and sad....

please help...>(

There are things about every job that are not fair, and are literally going to just p*ss you off. You need to learn to bend like a leaf, and the sun will shine on your back all day long.

.............At least that's what I tell myself to get through the day.

You can either take it, and continue feeling like sh*t about yourself and your performance, or you can go to your boss and explain that you feel like you don't have the chance to show your worth because everyone is so quick to find things to blame you for or to pick out your faults. Explain that you feel like you are fighting a losing battle, and you really are trying - not only to do well on the job, but to get along with your coworkers to maintain a professional and teamwork oriented environment. Explain that some people you work with do not seem to have the same values in this area, and it is making your life more difficult than necessiary.

I honestly know how it feels - I just posted a question about almost the same situation. Good luck to you, and all I can say is if you know you're doing a good job, let everything else roll off your shoulders. Protect yourself.
