How come a cant get a job with a southern accent but the female that barely speak engllish can?

Im a blk male I have my pharmacy tech license in dallas tx and I admit, I have a heavy southern accent..Im black so its called "ghetto" lol but I try my hardest to speak proper english..I have applied numerous times at cvs, walgreens but they hire the hispanic and white girls..I came in at CVS with my dress shirt tie,slacks and sqaure toes and i personally handed my resume to the pharmacy manger and she said she will contact me in a few..so a few days past no call back, a week or two no call back. so i decided to call her back..she immediately told me she had hired someone already..i was so dissppointed. and im tired of getting misleaded by the managers.I dont go by my real name delonte.I put carter,my middle name on the app that I want to go by so it can sound professional. I graduated at texas state university with a 3.6 GPA and im going to pharmacy school this fall and im only 22, I know there can be other reasons but im smart enough to know its my accent.

The ones with the southern accents are hilarious. But hey symptoms can be illegal immigration, prejudice, etc. There was this plaza close to my house and literally all of the businesses are filled with latinos, except the Starbucks. Not racially speaking, but pretty obvious under the circumstances. I called and made a complaint and got several blacks in there including myself working at the Ralphs. I don't man. It's just life or the government keeps on getting corrupted. |
