A registered nurse can make over $100 grand a year in many large cities. you can get an RN in 3 years at some community colleges. They average more like $60,000. A respiratory therapist is a 2 year program and they make around 45,000 with good job outlook. (I am a respiratory therapist for 10 years and make well over 45,000) Radiology tech is a 2 year program with about $45,000 average. There are many other specialties like radiation therapist, ct tech, ultra sound tech, or dental hygienist. Most of those are 2 to 4 year programs with salary averages at least 45,000. Physician's Assistants programs usually require you to be one of these professions before being allowed into the program. They want you to have a bachelor degree then go for a masters of PA. There still are some bachelor degree programs left but they are being weeded out and turned into masters. The lowest level health care worker I've ever heard of getting into a PA program was a phlebotomist who had a bachelor in science. |
