Can a RN be licensed in more than one state at a time?

Is it permissible for a registered nurse to be licensed in multiple states at the same time? Thanks in advance.

My wife ia a RN in Arkansas,her license is good in a lot of states,where it is not,like Hi. that is where she is now.She had to apply for Hi. license

I think an RN can be licensed only in their state of residency (where legally they live)

Yes I knew a nurse that was licensed in 3 states. You just have to let each state know that you are registered in other states.

Yes. It's legal.

For example, where I live, more than one nurse or CNA has a license in Oregon and Washington because the boarder isn't very far away and it makes sense to be able to take a job in either state.
