Brand New RN---No jobs...been unemployed for almost 4 months?

I received my RN license in March. Since then I have applied to everything under the sun for RN. All the rehabs all the hospitals all the offices and nothing. two interviews later and still unemployed what should I do? do i stick this out? do i pursue something else? this is ridiculous

You should stick it out. My dad has an LVN license and that was hard enough for him to take. Having an Rn License is really admirable. It may be hard to get jobs now but in the future, when they see you have experience, it will be easier to get a job.

Have you tried applying for a job farther away? Some may hire you but you have to work as an LVN. You get a lesser pay but it's a job and you can work your way up once you have experience. Good Luck.

I'm about to start my second semester of nursing and am worried about ending up in your position. I've started doing some research and the website below has long long lists of hospitals by state. I recommend expanding your search beyond your local area and contacting every single hospital you can. I've been putting those with new grad programs at the top of my list.
