I am getting ready to start classes in july for an 8 month program. However, I am worried I am not "smart" enough. Are the courses difficult?

I'm an MA and we have to do some medical coding. My friend was in school for medical coding and dropped out. Medical coding is hard and it takes almost a year in school. You have to remember over hundreds of codes and write them properly for procedures, medicines, etc. You have to know the differences.

Medical insurance isn't real difficult but medical coding can be you have to memorize alot of codes and put them in the right order in order to get the Dr. paid.

Try this program at American College of Medical Coders at http://www.acomc.com. It just 4 months, can be completed online at your own pace and really helps in preparation for the national examinations. I just finished it and got my CPC.
