Any tips on taking the NREMT for someone training to be an Army medic?

I'm training as a medic over at Ft. Sam Houston in TX right now and we have to take the NREMT (Basic) in order to graduate from AIT. I feel like I know most of my stuff but I'm nervous and they've been stressing to us how hard this test is. The Army is paying for us to take it a total of 3 times before we'd get re-classed to a new MOS but I really want to be a first time go. Not only because otherwise it means we get de-phased and can't wear civilian clothes or go off-post into San Antonio anymore but also because I don't want the stress of having to re-take it and possibly having to re-class. Plus I hate failing and I really want this job. They've said that even people who have been getting 90s on all their tests have failed a lot and I know one guy from another company who is getting re-classed. So does anybody have any tips at all they can give me about taking it? Particularly from people who have been through this before.

Relax, if you've paid attention and have the desire, the exam is not that hard. Many people who attempt the test fail because they read into the scenario based questions too much. Remember, this is the NREMT-Basic, keep it simple. Remember your ABCs, cspine, and scene safety before you do anything else. The computer based test will exploit your weaknesses, so if you see a ton of similar questions, pay attention and really think our your answer before you mark it down. You can't go back and change it once you submit it. Study your assessment portion of your book, almost all questions have something to do with that section. Also, study up on OB, that seems to come up a lot (apgar, complicated delivery, etc.)
