What is Obama going to do about unemployment?

My dad got laid off his job and was getting unemployment money until recently it stopped coming. Does anybody know if President Obama is going to do anything to bring it back?

He's trying to extend unemployment benefits, but Republicans keep blocking it. So don't blame Obama, but the Republicans. Our system is set up so that it's not only the president that has the power. It looks like unemployments may get extended...but who know? |

So your question is really: what is Obama going to do about the unemployment BENEFITS that have run out? He'll probably use his usual strong-arm tactics to extend them despite resistance from Democrats and Republicans alike who realize that we do not, in fact, have a money tree. As for what he will do about unemployment...nothing, absolutely nothing. He will NOT support bringing manufacturing back to this country, so all those millions of jobs that went to China, Korea, India, the Phillipines, Africa, and other countries will stay there while millions of people who want to work here in our country will become accustomed to NOT working and yet having an income, except for millions of illegal immigrants, who mostly are working and earning an income, yet not paying any taxes. It's totally screwed up and Obama will talk pretty about it, but he won't change a thing. |
