Is it okay to sit around doing nothing as long as I don't have work to do and working for the government?

I'm not sure if I should ask for work or not. I think I should just spend this time studying or something.

The problem with that is that someone sitting very near you has so much work they can't possibly finish it, so what you should do is find someone who's looking swamped and stressed and ask them if there is something you can do to help them. Then, when they're caught up and are having a lull in the action, they will be more likely to do the same for you. That's teamwork, and if everybody on the team pitches in, not only does the work get done, but camaraderie grows and pretty soon, the job's actually fun.

You should also occasionally take some of your down time to review the regs. Lots of regs.

You are spendin my tax dollas if your workin for the govnment, so please..dont waste em.. Since governement doent do nothhin useful, it ain like you is wasting them any more if you get sh@@ done...dont worry, bro. But ilf you ain got no work, probly shoun't be workin tha job.

Get a job...for a real comlpany. Then you will get fired if you sit around doin nothing.
