So, My job is having a agency day next week and really didn't think about going because I only been working with the organization for about a month but after talking to one of my co-workers she said this would be the perfect opportunity to get your face and name out there with higher ranking individuals in the company to the position that you really want and that you already know that you are qualified for. She told me that HR was thinking on bring on a new counselor in July and if you talk to this lady she can remember you and maybe offer you the position.
I am kind of socially awkward at social events but I am very ambitious about what I want and dont want to blow this potential opportunity. HELP

It's called networking. And used correctly it can open doors for you that won't open if you set in a cube and never get out. |
