Which is better: working in a supermarket, or waitress?
I currently am in high school and I work at my local Farmer's Market. I make 7.50/hour. I usually work around 20 hours a week + weekends. I REALLY HATE MY JOB THERE. I want to be a waitress at a restaurant like Applebee's, Chili's, etc.
WHICH job do you think is better (judging on money wise)? Thanks!

Both jobs are really hard but money wise waitressing can pull in more but that depends on the place you work, what hours you get and your personality. Supermarkets may have health insurance if needed and that can be a plus. Waitressing is difficult if your not a people pleaser,. I know. I'm not and I was terrible at it and hated everyday. Lol Good luck I'm sure you will choose whats right for you. |

You can get good tips as a waitress, but it is a hard job too, all this running around and making sure you don't drip anything and getting your orders right too. |

You must be at least 19 to work as a waitress in most jurisdictions, especially if the establishment sells any type of alcoholic beverages. |

There is no "better"...just different. If you hate your job now, wait until you have to deal with the over-entitled morons at a restaurant. |

Well with waitressing you get minimum wage plus tips, it seems like your grocery store job you don't get tips. So if you're a good waitress you should get good tips. |
