What to do about this girl I work with?

So I work fast food in the same resturant as my sister. this deal with meals is that you get half price only when your working. so, this chick steals food ALL THE TIME litterally, we both work grill and I never see her not eating, even while making a guest's food. my sister called her out on it, didnt even tell the managers, just told her to stop, and she got up in her face and said "I will burn you alive if you say anything, I swear to god" this chick has a drug history, is constantly in fights, and has come up short on her till many times, and the manager is afraid to confront her. what should I do?

If she is coming up short, making fights & have a drug history, she needs to be fired asap. Forget the food, that's petty. Your manager needs to grow some balls.

Sack the manager if you can! Nothing else you can do! This is the world we live in! What kind of management! The business deserves to go down!

Get a new manager? As long as they have been confronted about it and the management knows what is happening there is nothing that you need to worry about. If this still bothers you contact your managers boss. Descression in this area helps because jumping chain of command never looks well. Maybe talk to your manager about him asking for help on the issue. This prevents you look like you are going above him and will solve the issue for everyone. Voice your concern about her threats to fellow workers (your sister).

I know its "petty" to call the police about someone stealing food, but at the end of the day...she is stealing, one way or another...that is a crime, as petty as it is...and shes also threatening, whether she means it or not...again, that's a crime...

i (most probably just like you) feel sorry for her, that she is "begging" for food, but at the end of the day it isn't right, she needs help...best thing you can do is give her 1 last stern talk, if that doesn't work, speak to the manager and say, I've had a word with her, she is / isn't listening (depending on the outcome) then say to the manager, the only thing we can do legally, is sack her, call the police and or ask for a restraining order (to stop her coming near the building once shes fired).
