Please help! Is it ok to work for a few weeks and then quit if you get accepted to a better job?

Got a job, orientation starts soon, but the problem is it pays so little for demeaning work. I don't have any other job prospects at the moment, but if I get accepted to another position, is it ok to quit this one? Do I need to give my 2 weeks notice? What's the policy on that?

Yes, my sister worked for a complany for 3 weeks and told them that she got accepted to a job that pays more and has better hours for her, and depending on your company you might want to let them know you also apped for another job, in her case she gave them the notice that day and that was her last day of work, GL

You can do what you want. It is nice to give a two week notice but hey if you got offered something better and have to start right away I say go for it. The other place will find someone else.

You should give notice, though you don't have to.
