Is This A Good/Bad Sign Concerning A Job?

I called Kroger 2 days ago and basically toward the manager that I had a few years experience as cashier, that Im a college student and that I am eager to work for Kroger.

She said she would give me a call because she still havent pulled up the applications and also asked my name and number...she was supposed to call yesterday or today...but never did.

Is this a good or bad sign? Should I just call tomorrow and ask about my status application?

I would call tomorrow and ask if she has had time to review your application. Better than calling would be to go in person dressed similarly to the way the employees working there do. In other words, no cut-offs and t-shirt. Don't forget the yes sir/mam. You might ask if you need to fill out another application.
