It's pretty easy, just act calm and be nice to everyone... In some of my free time I would eat the different foods in the restaurant so if any of the customers ask if "this or that" is good you can answer with your opinion. That way, you don't feel dumb when they ask you that and you haven't really tried it.

You can expect some rude people here and there, but most of the customers are nice or at least easy to handle. When this one rude person is brought upon you just remember... The customer is ALWAYS right, NO matter how rude they are. Ask what they want and get it over with.

Sometimes you can get mixed up but you should make a little schedule of the order you should go in. Pick up the order, deliver it, go help another person, pick up their order, deliver it, and when their food is finished get it to the customer as quick as possible. Nobody likes cold food.

The order I wrote above might not work for you, or it just might not be a good idea. Think of what would do well for you, keep the customer happy, and keep you organized. Try to avoid stress.

So, my last bit of advice is to not worry to much about it... You'll be fine. Most likely there will be other helpful waiters or waitresses who can help you get through it. You might even make some friends while working there. Make a nice easy going schedule like I posted above and ask anybody who works at the restaurant for a bit of advice. Remember, all of your other co-workers have been new before too!

Write the ticket orders the way you are told. The cooks will be pissed if you write it any differently.
