How to properly give a two week notice?

I currently work at a grocery store as a cashier and I have been for 7 months now. I'm about to quit and give my two weeks. But should I write a letter or just talk to the manager and let her know?

If you are on good terms with the manager you can do it verbally. If you feel it is necessary to protect yourself for potential future references then you can do it in writing. Just be sure to show up on the last day. |
