Ok so right now I'm doing an application for Burger King and this is my first ever job and I really want this job.

Do I have to write a resume? If so, what can I put on it and how long does it have to be?

Is it ok if I complete my application in pencil, or does it have to be in pen because I make a lot of mistakes and I know if I write it in pen it's going to have a lot of mistakes.

Is it better if I hand in the application in person or should I do it online?

P.S. I'm 16 years old by the way and have had no experience with jobs whatsoever

P.S. If you have any tips plz let me know cause I really want this job

You don't really need a resume to get hired at burger king, so if you don't have previous work experience and not a lot of skills, education, objective, etc. to include, then you'll be better off not submitting a resume.

As for your application, write it very lightly in pencil, then when you are finished and it has no mistakes, trace over the writing in pen.

It is most likely better to hand the application in personally, but you don't want to do it when the manager is rushed or frustrated, call first and ask for a good time to bring it in.

Tips: Be polite and courteous. Let them know you really would like the job, but stay calm and confident rather than eager and desperate.

If you really want the job - you must go in person.

Filling applications online is a waste of time .

Making a resume will make you stand out from the crowd.

And will increase your chances of getting the job.

Keep it simple and short - the manager is not expecting a work of art.

Show up in person and ask the cashier if you can speak to the manager.

At that point, express how you would like to work there, and sell yourself.

Compliment the store - managers like that - even something as simple of how clean it looks.

Shake his hand, and hand your resume.

Dress well - no jeans.

This will show them that you have transportation to the location.

Very important.

Fill out your app in pencil if you must.

Or do it in pencil first, then re-do it in pen.
