I got a friend that works at mcdonalds and he said he could help me get a job. I applied yesterday but you can only apply once every 6 months. He told me to call and ask for Mike. When should I call? What should I ask him? Should I go there in person or talk on the phone? and if he says he doesn't have anything when should I call back? Answer all these question and get 10 points :)

Dress neatly, go to the store and ask for Mike (call ahead to see when he works). Don't go during the lunch rush (maybe around 2:30 - 3:00 when it slows down a bit). Introduce yourself, tell him that you submitted an application for a job and that you just wanted to come in and talk for a minute or two about the possibility of being hired. This allows Mike to put a face to the application and makes you stand out a bit more versus the folks that just submit an application and never talk to the manager. |

Call in the morning when the manager is usually there. Simply say you just wanted to make sure they received your resume. Follow ups are supposedly a good way to tell if someone is going to be a good employee. You may even want to walk in if you think your appearance will make an impression on Mike! |
