I got a friend that works at mcdonalds and he said he could help me get a job. I applied yesterday but you can only apply once every 6 months. He told me to call and ask for Mike. When should I call? What should I ask him? Should I go there in person or talk on the phone? and if he says he doesn't have anything when should I call back? Answer all these question and get 10 points :)

I'm only 16 and I don't want links, I want answers. thnx

Dress neatly, go to the store and ask for Mike (call ahead to see when he works). Don't go during the lunch rush (maybe around 2:30 - 3:00 when it slows down a bit). Introduce yourself, tell him that you submitted an application for a job and that you just wanted to come in and talk for a minute or two about the possibility of being hired. This allows Mike to put a face to the application and makes you stand out a bit more versus the folks that just submit an application and never talk to the manager.

Be professional in your manner (no joking around, leave the cell phone off or somewhere else, no baseball caps, etc.), shake hands firmly, look him in the eye and smile...Remember to thank him for meeting with you and any consideration he can give you.

Call in the morning when the manager is usually there. Simply say you just wanted to make sure they received your resume. Follow ups are supposedly a good way to tell if someone is going to be a good employee. You may even want to walk in if you think your appearance will make an impression on Mike!
