Did my interview for a waitress position at Ruby Tuesday go well?
Okay, so the other day I went job hunting. I turned in a lot of application to different places; for the most part, they just took the application and that was that. However, when I turned in my application to Ruby Tuesday, the hostess told me to follow her. She then told me to have a seat and wait. Within five minutes, a manager came out and asked me the basic stuff such as "are you at least eighteen years old?" and "Can you legally work in the United States?" After that he began asking me questions like when I can start, and after I graduate high school would I be able to work during the week. Of course, I said yes. Then he started asking me about my military experience (I'm in the Army Reserve) after questioning me a little bit about the Army he said "Hold on one second" and he left and got another manager. They both sat down in front of me and then began asking me more in depth questions about my military career and what my plans are for college. I told them that after I'm out of basic training and AIT, I plan on going to a four year university for secondary education. I also dropped in the fact that I speak a little Japanese, to which they replied "that's awesome" after the interview was over, they both shook my hand and told me i'd probably hear from them by monday. What do you guys think? Does it sound like I have a pretty good shot?

Yeah, definitely That sounds like it went really well and you impressed them with the army and foreign language. The fact is most restaurants are always hiring, and they will always consider new faces to work . keep in mind that 99% of the money you will make at restaurants relies on tips you make, not the paychecks, cause you only get payed like 2.13 an hour so its cheap for them to hire you. good luck on your way to makin money hope it works out. |
