I mean is it possible that instead of saying that they cannot pay you anymore, they would come up with all the the mistakes you made before and make it as an excuse to get you laid out ?

You are an employee at will. That means that they can fire you for any reason except (in the United States) for a reason based on race, ethnicity and a few others. If they tell you that they fired you because they don't like the color of your skin, you have an EEOC complaint (unless the color of your skin is a bona fide occupational qualification, which would be hard to claim). If they tell you that they fired you because they don't want you working there, they are completely allowed to do so (unless you can prove that the real reason they fired you was because of your race, ethnicity, sex, or one of the reasons that the law says you can't descriminate on.) |

If you are in the US, you can be fired or quit, for any reason or no reason at all (as long as it's not discriminatory), and with or without notice. |
