How can a 12-14 year old work more then 2 hours on a school day in Alberta, Canada?

I am speaking about my nephew, I am mentioning this
because a user on Yahoo! Answers did not understand my question and gave an incorrect answer
to the solution I was looking for.

12-14, to me, is still elementary school. So I don't know what kinda job his doing, but school should be a top priority. But I know in high school that by shifting classes, you can achieve spares at the end of the day so you can get off early. |
