Professionalism in emailing, which is less bad?

I just sent a work-related email to a stranger, thanking him for his reply to my previous email and asking a follow-up question...then clicked Send without any kind of sign-off (my signature includes my name but it shows up at the bottom below the email trail). Should I email him again just to apologize and sign, or would that be goofy?

No. That's fine. Don't be finicky.

When you say "sign-off" are you referring to a closing salutation like "Cheers" or "Sincerely" or "Regards"?

If so, it's really not a big deal. The person probably doesn't think anything of it. If the person replies, just add in the next email.

If that's not what you are referring to, I'd suggest you clarify.

Hope this helps. Best of luck.
