GENERAL SUMMARY: Walmart.

com's Supply Chain group is seeking an Associate who will report directly to the Director of Supply Chain Management.

His/Her areas of responsibility include Supply Chain Planning, network optimization, Inventory allocation and distribution, and facility level forecasting His/Her responsibilities include managing a wide array of group projects and performing extensive analyses, trending, tracking and reporting to support all the functions of the Supply Chain Management group.

He/She will also work closely with Merchandising Planning and Logistics to facilitate cross-group planning and communication.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supply Chain Planning (35%) - Learn modeling software programs.

- Data collection and analysis.

- Provide inventory allocation and distribution analysis.

2. Inventory management and logistics analysis (20%) - Develop sophisticated models for tracking and trending data - Minimize liability exposure/markdowns - Provide accurate logistics forecasts - Assist with low-cost initiative

3. Assistance with group reporting requirements (35%) - Identify and fulfill ad hoc reporting requests - Automate Daily, Weekly, Monthly reports - Work closely with Reporting team to complement existing resource

4. Perform business validation of projects and reports (10%) - Work with Program Management group to validate data feeding key technical systems and reports REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Knowledge, skills & abilities: Functional Competencies: - Very good Excel skills and knowledge of SQL. Familiarity with Business Objects (preferred).

2. Minimum educational level: - BA or BS required - Must have a thorough understanding of all policies and procedures relative to customer service and inventory control.
