Service Center face to face contactPosition Overview: Service Center Representatives are responsible for face-to-face customer service and sales duties in a walk-in payment center environment.
Some of the duties include establishing rapport with current and potential customers.
When possible, Service Center Representatives educate customers on product, service and rate information in order to guide customer into appropriate services to suit their viewing needs and enable them to make their purchasing decision.
Position Summary: Handle walk-in customers, covering limited range of customer services in a prompt and professional manner, obtaining all information for resolution of transaction.
Provide general information to subscribers concerning cable services, rates and policies.
Explain customer billing when needed in order to give customers a clear understanding of charges, billing cycles, prorates, discounts, products, and features.
Handle customer premise equipment exchanges and other issues.
Correct errors and discrepancies on customer billings as necessary.
Resolves delinquent account balances.
Receives payments, disconnect information and converters from subscribers at office location.
Enter data of transactions on CSG or other record keeping system and file work orders following processing.
Balance cash receipts daily and follow cash handling procedures at all times.
Perform billing and posting of customer accounts.
Prepares work orders for maintenance requests after determining if field visits are required, and ensures appropriate follow-up procedures are met. Achieve or exceed individual sales goals in order to meet department and company objectives and contribute to overall customer satisfaction.
Must have punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills: Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent.
2-3 years customer service experience with demonstrated courtesy and patience in customer relations.
Knowledge of all functions and related tasks in the area of customer service (face to face and phone) Strong professional, communication and organization skills.
Ability to multi-task and to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to work independently but also strong team orientation.
Able to work flexible schedules, weekends, and/or overtime with a limited notice.
Experienced user of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
Understanding of ASCR, CSS and ICOMS billing systems preferred.
