HR Representative

Department: South WAM Schedule: Full-time regular, 40 hours/week; 9:45am-6:15pm Monday through Friday.
Education/Licensure/Certification: High school degree or equivalent related work experience required.
Some business school/college level courses preferred.
Qualifications: General content knowledge in one or more of the following areas: payroll, benefits, worker's compensation, Human Resources Information Systems and/or general HR knowledge required.
Minimum of one year customer service or related experience required.
Experience in high volume transaction processing and/or call center environment preferred.
Experience in one or more of the following preferred: files management, HR forms/brochures distribution, paper and/or electronic document processing.
Demonstrated problem resolution skills and use of independent judgment required.
Ability to navigate PC and mainframe based data entry systems required.
Typing skills required.
Outstanding verbal communication and listening skills essential.
Skills testing required.
Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
SKILLS TEST: 35 wpm typing, data entry (minimum 6000 keystrokes per hour), filing, detail accuracy and windows proficiency.
Skills Testing Required: Kaiser Typing Assessment (30 wpm preferred).
Duties: Under direction of HR Operations Manager and/or HR Team Lead, works in one or more of the following area: files management, forms/brochures distribution, paper and electronic document processing.
Pay integration, spreadsheets, explanation of paid time off benefits; explanation of benefits; answering customer calls.
Analytical skills, excellent mathematical skills.
General HR background.
Applying general human resources knowledge and judgment, ensures accuracy and completeness of documentation and resolves issues/problems regarding pay, benefits, workers compensation and other human resources transactions of California division employees.
Processes a high volume of HR related work.
Inputs related changes and other relevant information into the appropriate computer system.
Ensure appropriate forms are sent to employee, completed and processed.
Provides professional and courteous service to every caller and ensures issues are resolved in a timely manner.
may escalate issues to appropriate resources, as necessary to ensure resolution.
Assures a smooth transition for customer if his/her issue is deferred to an Analyst or Team Lead.
Works independently in accordance with established HR Service Center guidelines and procedures.
Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
May assist HR Team Lead or other staff with resolution of more complex HR issues.
Participates in Service Center wide projects and initiatives as requested.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Logs on the ACD to take calls as required.
Consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Kaiser Permanente's Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.
May travel on rare occasions to present to manager and employees.
