Customer Service Supervisor
Customer Service Supervisor International, publicly held company in business since 1972 Distributor of Security Systems Worldwide Location: Torrance, Ca. Staff: 50/40 at this location Salary: 40-45K + Excellent Benefits Supervise 2 CS Reps and 1 Purchasing Clerk CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPERVISOR We are looking for an energetic, Customer Service Supervisor who is an organized, detail-oriented team player to handle multiple aspects of Customer Service functions.
Qualifications: - Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Five or more years of progressive supervisory experience in a fast-paced business-to-business customer service environment in a manufacturing or distribution setting; preferably related to hardware or software products.
- Solid knowledge of how processes and functions of customer service, purchasing, and returns management interrelate.
- Demonstrated ability to meet objectives within deadlines with outstanding follow-through, time management and planning skills.
- Strong customer orientation and problem solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with proven productive working relationships with customers, management and peers.
- Microsoft Office Computer Skills required.
- Experience with Great Plains a plus.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Supervise and direct the activities of the Customer Service Representatives and Purchasing clerk.
- Instruct and train personnel in customer service practices and techniques.
- Observe and evaluate staff performance.
- Make recommendations to amend customer service policies and procedures.
- Work with customers, vendors, management and peers to successfully resolve problems, provide information and answer questions.
- Liaise with Accounting and RMA Receiving Departments to resolve billing and credit problems.
- Ensure all customer service and purchasing orders are processed according to established work instructions and procedures.
- Assist manager with department operations; including, facilitating improvements within the Order Entry, Purchasing, and RMA processes to increase efficiency.
- Actively look for ways to help internal and external customers.
- Track and coordinate departmental projects
