Sr. Business Consultant Sr. Business ConsultantBASIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION: *Total of 3-5 years in a project management and/or consulting role.

*2-5 years experience using a standard project methodology such as PMI or Six Sigma.

Position Overview: Provides analysis/evaluation of business and/or system process and functional requirements, development of business cases, client support during system development and implementation, development and maintenance of service level agreements.

Develops relationships with upstream and downstream business partners.

Develops/maintains and changes business processes between HPA and non-HPA partners, and understands the business processes of assigned partners and how they relate to our functional areas.

Develops and recommends changes to business processes.

*Independently initiates, investigates, documents, and analyzes client requirements in project areas such as: new/existing business operating models with innovative approaches to HPA solutions support, market research of emerging or available product functionality and operational readiness assessment.

*Assesses scope and impact of client business needs.

*Identifies and documents cross-functional and/or cross-divisional, functional requirements, workflow, information sources and distribution paths, and system/process specifications*Develops business cases with cost, service, and benefit HPA dimensions of proposed HPA projects that are used at management and executive levels for funding and scope decisions*Participates in the analysis and definition of efficient, cost effective solutions that support client business products/processes and functional requirements.

*Evaluates existing application products/solutions that could address client requirements and develops recommendations where appropriate.

*Evaluates alternative operational efficiencies.

*Conducts and/or participates in the analysis of client business processes and functional requirements and in the preparation of appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the information.

*Conducts workflows, process diagrams and gap analysis.

*Identifies overlaps and related processes.

*Provides guidance and coordination to clients in the planning, marketing, training and operating of automated systems/processes.

*Designs and implements training programs for train-the-trainers for clients of new and enhanced applications/processes.

*Provides product expertise to client groups, delivers presentations, demonstrations and training for application/process systems.

*Coordinates installation and first-use of new applications/processes.

*Assists in developing test plans.

*Maintains current knowledge of application systems, interfaces, reporting processes, and data capture*May assist in the development of project plans.

*May use the associated project planning tools.

Position Requirements: *Bachelors Degree in Business/Health Care Administration or related discipline*Thorough knowledge of platforms of the assigned HPA functional area.

*Total of 3-5 years, to include two or more years in a project management and/or consulting role.
