Warehouse Director-CA

We currently have an excellent opportunity for Warehouse Manager.
Responsibilities: Establishes operational procedures for activities, such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
Ensures products, parts, or supplies are shipped, distributed, or received in an efficient manner.
Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment and prepares work order for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment.
Confers with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities such as production, sales, records, control, and purchasing departments.
Takes precautions to secure warehouse contents against loss.
Evaluates inventory on hand.
Prepares or reviews distribution documents.
Screens and hires warehouse personnel and issues work assignments.
Manages salvage of damaged or used material.
May participate in planning personnel-safety and plant-protection activities.
Qualifications: Logistics, transportation, management, warehouse, and space management knowledge.
Ability to use computer systems/PCs, and familiarization with systems, reports, procedures, etc. Requires flexibility, problem solving, and organization skills.
Requires coaching, counseling, leadership, and people management skills.
Written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelors degree is preferred.
Five to eight years experience preferred.
