Solar Systems Project Manager: Solar Electric Solutions, LLC
Solar Electric Solutions, LLC (SES) is a Los Angeles based developer of large scale solar photovoltaic electricity generation facilities.
SES has been awarded contracts by Southern California Edison for over 4 MWs of projects in Southern California, and has a backlog of projects for 2011.
SES is now preparing to finalize construction contracts for these projects.
SES is seeking a highly motivated, hands-on project manager to be responsible for managing these projects as the primary point of contact with project contractors, and by pricing components, managing budgeted and actual costs, and tracking contractor progress on construction schedules.
Key Responsibilities: Continually optimize material, labor and equipment costs to maximize project profitability.
Track and report project progress, including budgeted/actual costs and schedules, vendor/subcontractor payments and performance.
Assist in the preparation of project bid and contract documents Oversee vendor/subcontractor evaluation, selection and management.
Manage procurement, inventory, and logistical activities.
Develop, enforce, and report performance metrics for vendors/subcontractors Conduct periodic project site inspections to ensure vendor/subcontractor contract compliance.
Interface with AHJ regarding permits, approvals, and certifications.
Experience: 5 years minimum experience as a successful purchasing agent or project manager in construction industries; Skills/Requirements: The successful candidate will demonstrate: Ability to track, manage, and resolve issues on multiple projects simultaneously Proficient use of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS Project Excellent verbal and written skills Excellent negotiation skills Excellent organizational skills Excellent Planning and problem solving skills Basic knowledge of construction trades, materials and equipment Process oriented approach Education: College degree required.
Compensation: $65,000 to $90,000 per year salary based upon experience and performance.
