Senior Project Electrical EngineerCompany: Weyerhaeuser Location: USA-AL-Pine Hill Status: Full-time ,EmployeeJob Category: Engineering, Science, & Architecture Description Group and Position Background: Weyerhaeuser Pine Hill Containerboard produces corrugating medium and liner board on two paper machines.

Fiber is provided from two continuous digester fiber lines and two recycled fiber plants (Mainly OCC).

Steam and electricity are produced through processing the spent liquors from the pulping processes and by burning a combination of bark, coal, fuel oil and natural gas. Steam is used to drive two electrical generators.

Weyerhaeuser’s Pulp, Paper and packaging Group is seeking a full-time employee to fill the role of Senior Project Electrical Engineer for the Pine Hill Containerboard facility.

This position reports to the Engineering and Support Services Manager in all areas of the facility.

Key Functions: * Actively supports mill safety programs and exhibits safe behaviors.

* Manages capital and major maintenance project.

Responsibilities include: (1) All aspects of conceptual & preliminary design and core team selection and development.

(2) All aspects of equipment and system selection, procurement, installation & commissioning.

(3) Development of appropriation requests (PACE gate forms) (4) Development and tracking of cost schedules and budgets.

(5) Participation in post-startup tracking & evaluation of results and returns.

(6) Selection and management of multiple consulting resources.

(7) Communication with project stake holders * Supports operations and maintenance in troubleshooting and failure analysis of electrical systems.

* Participates in maintenance on-call support rotation.

* Interfaces with the local utility on maintenance and power supply issues.

* Assures compliance with NEC, Factory Mutual, ANSI, IEEE, NFPA 70E, and other regulatory institutions.

* Recommends changes and upgrades to power distribution system.

Qualifications * Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Professional Engineer License desirable * 5 years of progressive project engineering experience * Technical knowledge in DCS, PLC, and power distribution systems.

In depth knowledge of one or more areas * Basic Process knowledge in all areas - in depth knowledge of one or more * Planning & supervisory experience with maintenance * Well developed communication skills * Well developed estimating & scheduling skills * Familiarity with MS office skills * AutoCad drawing familiarity and experience is a plus The individual must be self motivated, a proactive communicator, and have conflict resolution skills.
