Services Technicians: Install, rearrange, maintain, and remove customer premise wiring/cable and facilities Interact with customers and represent BellSouth in their communities Analyze trouble conditions and determine work to be done Work on telephone poles and ladders, indoors and outdoors at homes or businesses Use computers including hand-held models to update work status and check new assignments Work Environment/Physical Requirements include: Climbing poles up to 18 feet high Climbing ladders and working aloft with hand tools Lifting or pulling up to 120 pounds The ability to perceive differences in wire and cable colors Working in attics, basements, crawl spaces, manholes and other similar places Working outside in all kinds of weather Current, valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record Must not exceed 275-pound weight limit as specified by the manufacturer of safety equipment Working mandatory overtime and holidays as service conditions require Candidates must meet the following Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: Required Testing: BellSouth Basic Electricity and Physical Performance Test.

Satisfactory performance and attendance is expected.
Training: On-the-job and/or classroom training as required must be satisfactorily completed to remain on the job including Safe Ladder Handling and Pole Climbing.
Schedule: Work various scheduled tours including day, evening, night and split tours covering Sunday through Saturday with overtime and holiday work as required.
Tour length will be 8 hours.
Additional factors to be considered: Experience in telecommunications, electrical, electronic or mechanical fields.
Customer Contact Skills Computer Skills Individuals holding this job title may be required to perform the above job duties with or without "reasonable accommodations.
