Facility Lead: Midwest Janitorial Service, Inc.

Midwest Janitorial Service, Inc. is a leading provider of commercial janitorial services in Iowa & Illinois.

We are seeking a first shift facility lead who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

This position is responsible for completing day porter duties as well as communicating any items pertaining to the second shift staff.

Additional functions include: Perform quality assurance inspections and correct needed itemsPerform safety & inventory audits Position requires a cooperative person with good interpersonal skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a commercial facilities.

Shift is from 6:00 am - 2:30 pm. There is exposure to cleaning compounds that could affect those with allergies to cleaning products.

EFFORT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to read, see, hear, and speak.

Must be able to stand and walk the entire assigned shift at a good pace.

Each facility is only budgeted so much time to complete assigned tasks.

Occasional stooping, bending, lifting and reaching required.

Must be able to lift, push, and pull and store cleaning equipment, such as commercial sweepers, backpack vacuums & carpet spotters, that could require exertion and lifting of more than 50 pounds.

Must be able to safely carry trash containers and dispose of trash/recycle in outside dumpsters.

The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without giving out or fatiguing.
