Facilities/Security Coordinator: Cathay Bank
SUMMARY Assists in maintaining all East Coast facilities to ensure the Bank meets or exceeds all facility safety and security requirements.
Coordinates the operation of multiple corporate buildings or a group of branches as assigned in a geographic area.
Evaluates the condition of assigned facilities through regular inspections and makes recommendations for maintenance.
Responsibilitie
1. Review proposed and established policies and procedures for compliance with federal, state, and local laws in addition to Banks business objectives.
2. Assist with employee training for safety and security programs and regulations.
3. Perform quarterly inspections of all security-related equipment in each New York office and maintain accurate record of findings.
4. Assist in the administration of the Banks Security and Business Continuity Programs.
5. Midtown Location Only Meets requirements to be certified by the City of New York to act as Fire/Safety Warden for the office and perform duties as required by the City of New York.
Attached is a list of Fire/Safety Warden responsibilities.
6. Assist Facilities Management Department with overseeing constructions projects, maintenance efforts, and other tasks as may be necessary.
7. Ensure that bank documents are maintained and sent to storage/retention per Bank policy.
8. Perform monthly inspections of each New York office to determine deficiencies in the facilities and maintain accurate record of findings.
9. Coordinate all maintenance and repairs pertaining to bank-owned facilities, ie electrical, plumbing, lighting, janitorial, general repairs, etc[^%dot%^
10. Sort and deliver incoming mail to staff and prepare outgoing mail for pickup.
11. Answer and route incoming phone calls; assist visitors to the correct bank department or employee for assistance.
12. As needed, perform tasks that may be considered outside of the jobs scope of responsibilities.
Skills and Aptitudes · Good English communication skills, both written and oral.
Able to provide direction to others and communicate effectively · Ability and willingness to travel among bank locations.
· Ability to direct service vendors and contractors on repairs and maintenance.
· Ability to analyze facts and exercise sound judgment in decision-making and the ability to set priorities.
· Ability to be physically active performing light to medium physical type of work.
Able to lift 50 lbs. · Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
· Ability to speak effectively before employees.
· Knowledgeable of the Banks security environment and requirements.
· Good knowledge of PC operations and effective use of software to include WORD and EXCEL processing preferred.
· Bi-lingual Chinese preferred but not mandatory Accountabilities Probable errors may have a significant effect on Cathay Banks overall operations, financial condition, prestige and public image.
Keep informed of local and state changes as related to security, safety, and facilities.
Interpret materials and provide management with recommendations for compliance.
