Engineering Technician

Key responsibilities of this position include: Field inspection, verification, testing and design of power distribution systems for water, wastewater, and remote pumping and collection systems.
Field verification of existing cable, conduit, and electrical equipment against record drawings and updating drawings to match existing conditions.
Equipment testing, wiring verification, punch list preparation, customer support, documentation and training.
The preferred candidate will possess: 2 year technical degree.
6+ years experience in the design, installation, and startup of electrical power distribution systems.
Ability to perform load calculations for 4160, 480, and 120 volt distribution systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical single line diagrams.
Effective communication skills and customer service oriented.
Capable of working with very minimal supervision.
Knowledge of basic power distribution design concepts for 4160, 480 and 120 volt distribution systems and capable of preparing and interpreting single line and detail plan drawings.
Knowledgeable of the NEC requirements and be capable of performing load calculations and sizing cable, conduit and over current protection for service entrances as well as individual feeder circuits.
Experience with AutoCAD preferred.
Microsoft Office experience required.
