Electrical Engineer

Key responsibilities of this position include: Serving in a technical lead role for planning, design and construction phase services for electrical and instrumentation and control system projects for water and wastewater utilities.
Design projects to include power distribution functional diagrams, power distribution one-lines, panel schedules, load calculations, P&ID development, instrument installation details, schematics, PLC one-lines, network diagrams, input/output schedules and instrument schedules.
Performing a lead role in developing load calculations for an arc flash hazard analysis project.
Project activities will include arc flash hazard safety training, field investigations to verify existing conditions, coordinating with other contractors and consultants and updating existing electrical drawings or creating new drawings to reflect existing conditions.
Becoming familiar with client CADD and design standards and supervising technical staff.
Developing relationships with clients and supporting business development activities, leading technical work and meetings, resolving I&C client issues, and supervising technical staff on projects.
The preferred candidate will possess: Bachelor's Degree.
5+ years experience in the planning, design, and construction phase support of water and wastewater electrical power and I&C projects is required.
At least 2 years experience serving in a technical lead role on projects.
PLC programming and HMI configuration experience is desirable.
Must be Registered as a Professional Engineer - AZ preferred.
Experience with AutoCAD Preferred.
Microsoft Office required.
Ability to travel 25% of the time to client facilities in the local vicinity.
Overnight travel less than 10% required.
