Design Engineer
Design Engineers -- Hazardous Waste Remediation Dvirka and Bartilucci Consulting Engineers (D&B) is an engineering consulting firm that specializes in environmental and civil engineering projects.
The firm was established in 1965 and is headquartered in Woodbury, Long Island.
It has offices in White Plains and Syracuse, New York; South Plainfield, New Jersey; and Trevose, Pennsylvania.

We're seeking Design Engineers for our Woodbury LI and Syracuse NY offices to administer & coordinate engineering design and construction of innovative environmental remedial measures including but not limited to hazardous material excavation and disposal, ground water extraction and treatment, soil vapor extraction, air sparging, chemical oxidation/injection & landfill closure applications.
Must prepare environmental reports such as feasibility studies, engineering and construction certifications, detailed design drawings/specs & construction cost estimates for the implementation of remedial measures & oversee implementation of remedial measures.
Minimum reqs include a BS in Environmental or Civil Engineering and 3-5 years of full-time satisfactory experience in planning, administering or expediting of engineering design; OSHA certifications; knowledge of federal, state & local environmental regulations; knowledge of construction contract organization & principles, contract language & construction cost estimating; effective oral/written communication & organizational skills.
NY State PE license, proficient aptitude with AutoCAD software (version 2000 or greater) CSI Certification (e.
g., CDT, CCS, CCCA), prior experience with regulatory agencies in the preparation of remedial design documents (ie NYSDEC) are preferred.
