Construction Representative - Fountain Valley, CA
Description Job Summary and Mission This job contributes to Starbucks success by providing construction support to ensure new stores and renovations are completed in accordance with Starbucks requirements.
Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
Summary of Key Responsibilities Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Collects tenant improvement allowance from landlords and coordinates with construction managers.
Assists in the resolution of issues raised by store managers during the post-construction or renovation warranty period.
Creates and maintains project files and project sheets.
Updates and maintains database information.
Distributes project information, drawings and budgets to internal partners.
Tracks vendor quotes and contractor bid proposals.
Performs office administrative support functions, including schedules, travel, correspondence, incoming mail, telephone calls and e-mail.
Tours construction sites.
Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
Supports new store construction or renovations by creating schedules with general contractors, tracking equipment orders and distributing related information to vendors and internal partners.
Tracks construction budget.
Processes invoices and reconciles vendor quotes.
Reviews fixed asset registers.
Qualifications Summary of Experience Construction in restaurant or retail environment (3 years) General office in a home office environment (2 years) Project administration, including tracking Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to manage multiple databases, including data input, file management and report generation Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite Organization and time management skills
